Muubs Small Astrid Teak Plate

This small teak plate with a diameter of 18cm is entirely cut by hand in Bali and is offered by the Danish brand Muubs.
It will be perfect, alone or in combination with other materials such as ceramics or glass, for a very natural table, raw but warm, privileging the nobility and uniqueness of the material. You can also use it as a tray to hold your candles for example.
Concerned about his environmental footprint, Muubs uses wood from managed and controlled plantations for this collection of plates.

This teak plate is raw and has not received any treatment. It is recommended for so-called “dry” food. You can use it every day using a food varnish (there are European-standard food varnishes with a matte finish, which does not affect the appearance of the plate and the wood) or in the oiling with vegetable oil (rapeseed oil is recommended because it does not go rancid), which can already protect it. Be careful, this oiling operation will darken the plate. Another possibility for wood lovers is to use it raw to your liking and to accept that wood, living matter, evolves over the course of the uses, is made and patina.
Each piece is unique and has shades of hue and structure.
